Job Summary
The Tool and Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, maintenance, inventory, and distribution of tools and construction equipment. This role ensures that all job sites are properly equipped, tools are safe and operational, and costs are controlled through efficient asset management, light towing experience of trailers and equipment required.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & Asset Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of all tools, equipment, and assets.
  • Track equipment usage, location, and availability across job sites.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

Procurement & Vendor Management:
  • Source and purchase tools and equipment based on project needs.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers and vendors.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements.

Maintenance & Repairs:
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate repairs and servicing to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety and compliance standards.

Distribution & Logistics:
  • Coordinate delivery and pickup of tools and equipment to/from job sites.
  • Ensure timely availability of equipment for project schedules.
  • Manage tool check-in/check-out systems.

Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure all tools and equipment comply with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Maintain inspection logs and certification records.
  • Support safety training related to equipment usage.

Cost Control & Reporting:
  • Monitor equipment-related expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare reports on utilization, maintenance costs, and asset lifecycle.
  • Reduce loss, theft, and misuse of company tools.

Working Conditions:
  • Combination of office, warehouse, and outdoor job site environments.
  • May require lifting heavy equipment and operating machinery.
  • Occasional travel between job sites.

Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices.
  • Light towing trailer experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
